Early Childhood Development Initiatives
Parenting Support Groups, addressing unique challenges faced by refugee and migrant mothers, offer a safe and welcoming space to connect, share experiences, and gain valuable insights into their child’s growth.

At AMURTEL Greece, we know that early childhood matters—and the first 1000 days of life are crucial in shaping a child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.
Parenting Support Groups, addressing unique challenges faced by refugee and migrant mothers, offer a safe and welcoming space to connect, share experiences, and gain valuable insights into their child’s growth. Facilitated by lactation consultants (IBCLCs) and early childhood specialists, these groups cover essential topics such as infant feeding, sleep patterns, emotional well-being, and child development milestones.
The First 1000 Days Support Groups, covering topics from pregnancy through toddler years, allows for discussion on ideas ranging from secure attachment and responsive parenting to age-appropriate stimulation for infants and toddlers.
By investing in mothers, we invest in the future—because every child deserves the best start in life.
